10 May 2011At least it can’t be said the Vukovi always beat the Wolves but always after a good fight. The Wolves this time lost in convincing fashion, as the home team won 28-3.
The Wolves came to Belgrade without quarterback Vasyl Yordan and in the end that might have been the biggest reason why the game ended this way. His backup was intercepted numerous times, including the one by Marko Bates late in the game that sealed the win.
The Vukovi scored a touchdown in each of the quarters and a newcomer to the team shined. Receiver Pavle Plamenac scored the opening touchdown on a pass by Vinnie Miroth. Miroth found Bošnjak in the second quarter to make it 14-0.
The Wolves had some opportunities, but in the end only managed a field goal in the third quarter. If that gave them some hope, then it was quickly put out by Miroth and Plamenac, as they once again hooked up for a touchdown.
Marko Bates scored his second interception return touchdown in as many games for the final score.
