Vukovi – Dukes, Live
29 April 2010The Vukovi Belgrade took first place in the CEFL standings for the time being, with a 21-31 win over the Wolves in Budapest. The Vukovi led throughout the game, and the Wolves threatened near the end with two quick touchdowns in the fourth quarter. The Vukovi’s young running back Uroš Jovanović sealed the deal.
The Vukovi scored just 3 points of offense in the first half, but it was still enough for a 10 point lead. They scored 2 defensive touchdowns in the first quarter, one on an interception return by Ivan Nedeljković and one on a fumble recovery returned for touchdown by Miloš Todorović.
Peter Cseperkalo scored the only points of the half for the Wolves on a 10 yard run. The Vukovi seemed safe after a 30 yard pass from Andrej Tasić to Dejan Cerovac in the third, but the Wolves scored two touchdowns in the final quarter. Attila Lendvai found Attila Lausch and Krisztian Piros.
That was as far, or as close, as they got, and the Vukovi take their seventh win in as many games over the Wolves.
