The Kragujevac Wild Boars defeated the Belgrade Vukovi in the SELAF Final and won the title for the 2006 season. In front of a packed FK Radnički Stadium in Belgrade, Kragujevac, similar to the last game these teams played jumped out to an early lead that they never let go

Starting on Sunday at 2PM, the long awaited SELAF final between the Kragujevac Wild Boars and the Belgrade Vukovi will kick off. Will the clear cut favorite, the Boars, once again prove their domination over the Vukovi, or will the Belgrade team repeat their only win over the rival from the Serbian Cup final in 2005

The Kragujevac Wild Boars went with three different starting quarterbacks this year, before finally settling with Nemanja Trajković in the end. Yet, they made it to the top of the standings, as once again their key player on offense was Aleksandar Ristić

“You can’t always run the ball, sometimes you have to pass too”, says Igor Hoffmann, the Vukovi’s coach, at the same time explaining in a good way what he wants this team to be. One of rare teams in the league that prides itself with an offensive philosophy has been the team that has usually scored the easiest this season, and in prior seasons as well

The referee of this year’s SELAF Bowl will be Giuseppe Rizzello from Italy. Rizzello will be in Belgrade Friday and Saturday, prior to the final game on Sunday, October 8th, where he will participate in a seminar organized by the USAFS – Serbian American Football Officials Association

The forthcoming SELAF Bowl is a game that can’t leave anyone indifferent. Not, because it’s the greatest rivalry in SELAF, and in American football in Serbia, a game in which nobody can guarantee the winner

Prior to the start of the season, expectations for everybody that follows American football in this region were near identical. Kragujevac and Belgrade would play in the final, and the only dilemma would be which team would place first. Still, the Novi Sad Dukes challenged both teams strongly, were in the race for the final until the last game and also made the league very interesting this year
