Bill Moore leaves the Gladiators

Bill Moore lasted only one game in SELAF as the head coach of this year’s new team, the Gladiators. He left the team after the 21-14 home loss to the Belgrade Vukovi, in which he was ejected in the fourth quarter after protesting a call by the officials

With the Budapest Wolves SELAF season opener in Ljubljana coming up on the 12th of May it is time to look at what the Hungarians have been up to lately. The Budapest Wolves have been playing back-to-back games the past five weekends, resulting in a combined record of 4-1.

The Novi Sad Dukes proved why they were favored to win at home against the Ljubljana Silverhawks with an easy 38-0 win. After their second straight shut out of Ljubljana at home, Dukes are now 3-0 for the season with playoffs in sight after only one month of play

Jovan Golušin scored on a 20 yard run in the middle of the fourth quarter to complete the Vukovi's comeback; down by 14 points early in the second quarter the Vukovi fought back scoring two touchdowns in the second half to get a 21 - 14 win

With the Ljubljana Silverhawks playing in Novi Sad and the Vukovi going to Rudersdorf for an abroad game also, there will be two matches in SELAF this week. Both will be played on Saturday, with the Gladiators-Vukovi game starting at 3PM, and the game in Novi Sad one hour later

Ljubljana’s great third quarter for the win

The Silverhawks earned their first win of the season after beating the Kragujevac Wild Boars 26-19 in Ljubljana. Rok Milek ran for two and passed for one touchdown, while Robert Cochran caught two – enough for a win against the Wild Boars in the teams’ only matchup this season

Important game early on

On Sunday, Ljubljana will play their second game of the season and their second home game when they host the Kragujevac Wild Boars from Serbia. The match that will start at 12:30 and be played at rugby stadium Oval in Ljubljana represents the first inter-conference match in SELAF’s new conference scheme
