SBB Vukovi’s redemption
2 June 2014Another great rivalry will be extended on Sunday, 1 June, when SBB Vukovi host Ljubljana Silverhawks in Belgrade. Their first matchup was won unexpectedly by the Silverhawks with a 15:6 score. SportKlub TV will broadcast this nail-biter as well and the kickoff is expected at 14:00 hours.
SBB Vukovi need a win of more than 14 points to decide their own fate and be a sure participant of the finals game. A win with a lower score point differential will leave them stuck to TV screens in expectation of the outcome from the next game between the Wild Boars and the Silverhawks. A loss will keep them out of the finals for the first time in league’s existence. This outcome will be favorable for Kragujevac Wild Boars though, who could get to host the league finals for the first time in history.
On the other hand, team from Ljubljana has a much clearer picture for this game: win and you’re in. The Silverhawks could also play in the finals in case of a loss in Belgrade and a win in Kragujevac, depending on the score point differential in these two games.
All of this arithmetic will stand in case the hapless Docler Wolves continue their losing streak that started two years ago to this day. Nevertheless, they could also tailor the matchup of the bowl game themselves with a win or two.
