CEFL 2012 kicks off
13 March 2012The three time consecutive CEFL champions, the Vukovi Belgrade, are no more. At least, not just the Vukovi. Due to the CEFL and Serbian champs agreeing to terms with SBB – Serbia Broadband, the largest Serbian cable television and internet company – the team from Belgrade will from now on be called SBB Vukovi Belgrade.
This was finalized and made public on a press conference in Belgrade, attended by team president Goran Nišavić, SBB’s representative Jovana Lukić, Serbian actor and team board member Nikola Đuričko, alongside team coaches Sean Embree and Reuben Droughns.
SBB was on the team’s jersey as a sponsor even last year, and the two parties deepened their relationship with SBB becoming the team’s main sponsor. In a team press release, Nišavić said it is a tremendous honor and motivation.
“On one hand we are extremely pleased that SBB has recognized our efforts and decided to help us, and on the other hand we consider this to be additional motivation, to keep developing our club from both an organizational and competitive standpoint”, said Nišavić.
SBB’s Communications Director Jovana Lukić stated that SBB has always supported sport and competitive spirit, and that the team’s enthusiasm and a tradition of winning were the deciding factors in their decision.
